Who we are

Our website address is http://primopoly.com.

What personal data do we collect? Why?

We collect personal data in the form of name and email addresses when someone fills out a contact or request form. We use this data in our CRM system to keep track of our current and potential customers. We utilize a double-opt-in policy for any subsequent marketing, and offer simple unsubscribe functionality as a matter of course. We do not sell or trade any personal data for any reason.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a ‘hash’) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website (currently not available), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the website. We routinely strip any location data from images uploaded to the site as well.

Contact Forms

Our contact forms may send supplied personal data to our CRM system for tracking and automation purposes. If you fill out any contact form on our site, you are agreeing to share your personal data for our use in providing you better products, and ultimately better customer service.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use analytics to track page views, interaction with various pieces of content, new vs returning users, and general business objectives related to reporting and tracking visitors to our website. These are anonymous metrics, with no individual personal data associated.

Who do we share your data with?

To be frank, we don’t share your personal data with anyone outside our company. After all, we’re a protective coatings manufacturer, not data pirates. And we only share data within the company if we have a reason to be contacting you, like say if you’ve reached out and asked us to contact you from one of our contact forms. If you wanted to get really technical about it, you might say that we share your data with analytics providers like Google and Bing, but there’s not actually anything personal in the data — it’s just so we know where the people are that visit our site. So rest easy, Privacy Policy page reader, and know that your personal data is safe with us.

How long do we retain your data?

You realize this is the internet. Therefore, if you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. But of course, it’s also so anyone reading that post, page, or article in the future can see the discussion surrounding the awesome facts we put out there, ’cause that’s what some of them will want to see.

What rights do you have over your data?

None.

Just kidding! OMG settle down.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep of administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where do we send your data?

Like we said above, we send your data to our CRM system, and we send some tracking pixels to Google and other social media sites, so you don’t forget how much you love us when you’re scrolling your feed. Again, this is super standard stuff that every site on the internet is doing in order to track visitors to their sites, and to figure out how to better serve those visitors. We may also check data vs an automated spam detection service.

Your Contact Information…

Any contact information you provide to us will be kept private for the sole intended purpose of contacting your regarding dealings with Primo Poly. If you would like us to ‘lose’ your contact information, just let us know, and we’ll put it in the circular file. We will also remove it from any CRM database system we have as well.

What about changes?

Any changes to this privacy policy will be made here, and may be made without prior notice. We suspect this is a highly unlikely occurrence, but if you’re concerned, check back here periodically to see any changes that have been made.
